Key Responsibilities
• Digital Twin Development: Architect and deploy dynamic, physics-based digital twins of our semiconductor equipment, modeling multi-axis kinematics, force control, thermal dissipation, and optical paths.
• Virtual Recipe Validation: Enable virtual parameter and algorithm generation and testing environments to model structural and thermal behavior.
• Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Testing: Integrate simulation models with real-time equipment control software and AI feedback loops for pre-hardware validation and rapid algorithm benchmarking.
• Model Calibration: Continuous validation and refining of simulation models against real physical sensor streams from operational tools to maintain high simulation fidelity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, mechatronics, process, and software engineers to translate physical system dynamics into accurate computational models.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience building digital twins, multi-physics simulations, or Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments for precision robotics, aerospace, automotive, or semiconductor equipment.
• Simulation Tools: Expertise in numerical modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Ansys, COMSOL, or physics engines (e.g., Gazebo, NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim).
• Software Development: Proficiency in C++ and Python for integrating simulation pipelines with software control stacks and real-time data pipelines.
• Physics & Modeling: Deep understanding of rigid body dynamics, elasticity, thermo-mechanical deformation, and fluid dynamics.
Preferred Qualities
• Experience with semiconductor equipment or process modelling.
• Startup-ready mindset: energetic, capable of modeling complex systems with minimal existing documentation, and driven by iterative progress.
